Chuck Wagon Restaurant
About This Spot
Step inside Chuck Wagon Restaurant and you’ll feel the gentle hum of a place that’s comfortably rooted in its small-town Maine setting. Nestled quietly on Depot Street in Livermore Falls, this American eatery invites you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the kind of familiar warmth that comes not just from hearty plates, but from genuine care in every detail.
The atmosphere carries a nostalgic charm, echoing echoes of roadside diners and country homesteads that linger in memories rather than flashy trends. Time moves at an easy, unhurried pace here — an ideal spot to reconnect over a meal that feels both thoughtfully prepared and lovingly familiar.
On the menu, the flavors lean into tradition with subtle nods to local ingredients and community favorites. Whether it’s the tender seafood offerings like stuffed haddock or the crispy, golden-fried shrimp and scallops, each dish has a way of feeling like a shared story. There’s a quiet joy in watching plates arrive, from classic comfort foods like chicken fingers paired with fries, to fresh-baked entrees that marry simplicity with care. The sides and salads add their own homey touch, rounding out meals that leave both body and spirit satisfied.
Service here is more than routine; it’s part of the experience. Attentive and warm without ever rushing, the staff seems to understand what this place means to locals and newcomers alike — a gathering spot where comfort goes beyond the food and extends into genuine human moments.
Chuck Wagon feels like a pause in the day where the outside world softens at the edges. It’s a space for celebrating ordinary joys: good company, a welcoming smile, and the kind of flavors that linger long after the meal ends.

This place is a gem!! They don't make them like this anymore! Side choices include squash, green beans, and beets! Cool decor and good food. Highly recommend!

Really impressed with the special meat cake they created for me for my birthday! I had the Reisling with it and the grapenut custard for dessert (one of my all time favorites!) Our server was phenomenal, too! It was my first time there and I will happily be back soon to try more on the menu.

Chuck Wagon is a quaint restaurant tucked away in the mountain town of Livermore Falls, Maine. It’s a nostalgic throwback to the Oregon Trail, retro diners, and small-town living. The food is very good with a nice amount of options. Portions are decent and filling. The flavors work well together. The staff is awesome. Always pleasant and inviting. The owners do a lot of work in the community, which is always a plus. If you opt to dine-in, you’ll get to experience all the quirky décor, the pleasant wait staff, and a truly enjoyable meal. Takeout is an option, too. There is only street parking, but it usually isn’t hard to find a spot. Do keep in mind that a lot of tractor trailers and larger vehicles frequent this road, so be sure to stay aware of your surroundings. There are a few local shops to peruse, as well as the Androscoggin River across the street from Chuck Wagon. It’s definitely a worthwhile stop in Livermore Falls.

Pretty much everything was good, actually very good. From the Caesar salad and dinner rolls to the main meal. Mary had fish and chips and I had fried haddock shrimp and scallops. All the fried food was lightly battered and cooked to perfection, very tasty and moist. Mary usually doesn't like french fries but she ate every single one of these. The waitress was very friendly an answered all of our questions pleasantly. All the food came out right on time. We would definitely recommend the Chuck Wagon.

Four of us stopped in for lunch on our way to a girl's weekend. I was the one who suggested the Chuck Wagon even though I had never eaten at this one. Happily it turned out great! Two of us had the steak tips, one the chicken cordon bleu and one the ribeye all with different sides. Everything was delicious. My friends are still talking about it!

Their food is like a warm hug on a plate - wholesome, comforting, and filling. It's the kind of food that makes you feel like you're sitting down to a home-cooked meal with family. The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic and delicious. If you're looking for a place that serves up good ol' fashioned comfort food, look no further than the Chuck Wagon. Highly recommend!!

We came in on New Year’s Eve and the staff was friendly and accommodating as we didn’t have a reservation. The sirloin tips were recommended and it was well-seasoned and tender! Will definitely come back. Thank you!
